Overview

At AIS, we are committed to fostering an environment that not only prioritizes academic excellence but also nurtures the holistic development of our students. Our mission is to cultivate a culture of inquiry, creativity, and resilience among students.

Teaching and Learning Methodology

  • We foster student-centered and active learning approaches.
  • We encourage engagement through hands-on activities, group discussions, and interactive projects.
  • We utilize modern pedagogical techniques to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • We empower students to take ownership of their learning journey and develop critical thinking skills.
  • We offer collaborative learning and peer-to-peer support opportunities, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • We actively respond to the students’ needs and interests, prioritizing their extracurricular and outdoor activities to enhance and foster their life skills.

Parent-Teacher Partnership

At AIS, active engagement between parents and teachers is crucial to support the academic, social and emotional growth of students. We foster a collaborative partnership through regular parental communication. To reinforce learning at school, we provide parents with resources and strategies to support their child’s development at home.

Our Daily Schedule

Our student’s daily schedule at AIS is thoughtfully structured to provide a well-rounded and enriching learning experience. Each morning begins with warm greetings from their homeroom teachers and floor supervisors, as students gather in their classrooms to recite the holy Quran and morning supplications. Important notices for the day are shared during this time. Our daily schedule consists of 8 periods and 2 breaks. The schedule includes subjects such as:
  • Mathematics
  • Sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry)
  • English
  • Business Studies
  • Computer Science
  • Arabic
  • Quran
  • Islamic Studies

Before the Dhuhr prayer, students receive Islamic reminders and guidance to enhance their understanding of moral conduct and virtuous traits. This preparation encourages them to embody the principles of exemplary role models while fostering an Islamic ethos centered on integrity, compassion, and responsibility.

Essentials for Success

What Sets Our Middle School Program Apart

Laboratory Experiments
Our science curriculum includes hands-on laboratory experiments, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in a practical setting. Through these experiments, students develop critical thinking skills, scientific inquiry abilities, and a deeper understanding of scientific principles.

Technology Integration
We leverage technology integration throughout our curriculum, providing students with access to computers, and tablets.  By integrating technology into the learning process, we enhance engagement, facilitate collaborative projects, and prepare students for the digital demands of the 21st century.

Parent and Student Information Sessions

Prior to entering ninth grade, we offer engaging and informative sessions to both parents and students, introducing them to the curriculum requirements of both the American and British curriculum.  These sessions, led by knowledgeable experts in both curricula, empower parents and students with the necessary information to make well-informed decisions about their academic pathways.

Educational and Social Trip
Throughout the school year, our school organizes trips to different places such as museums, workplaces, and exhibitions. These visits aim to expose students to various aspects of the working and educational environments, helping them develop social skills that will prepare them for the future.

Competitions and Clubs
We offer our students a wide array of opportunities to engage in various competitions organized by the school, including athletic and non-athletic events. These competitions are carefully structured to promote the development of vital teamwork and individual skills,  equipping students with competencies that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
