Welcome to AIS. Here at KG section, we are dedicated to a student-centric approach that fosters not just academic excellence but also self-esteem, resilience, and personal growth. Our theme-based curriculum is designed around engaging units of inquiry, creating a stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and imagination.AIS educational portfolio includes the Tahfeez track for memorizing the Holy Quran and the Qaidah Noraniah track for Arabic Phonetics, reflecting our commitment to our Islamic identity while celebrating cultural diversity and promoting global values. Furthermore, we place significant emphasis on sports and exercise where the school’s playground is designed to expose children to sunlight as it is vital for their health and well-being. Additionally, our Physical Education classes are conducted under the supervision of professional coaches, ensuring not only the physical development of our students but also instilling in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.We believe that extracurricular activities, particularly those that encourage physical health, are essential to a well-rounded education. Play-based Teaching Methodology

Play-based learning

Our KG teaching methodology is based on a unique play-based approach. Through play and hands-on activities, our specialists help learners to acquire literacy and numeracy skills according to the required standards in the textbooks and the curriculum. Interactive student-centered learning instructions take place on the rug or at their tables and in the continuous learning spaces provided.

Fluency, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Play-based learning promotes linguistic fluency, enhances creativity, and sharpens problem-solving skills. In the continuous learning areas provided, students collaborate, imagine, solve problems, and communicate while they role-play, build, read, listen, and explore sensory materials.

Curriculum Overview

Our kindergarten program adopts a unique approach: English and Arabic are streamlined and taught within a theme-based curriculum. English, Maths, Science, Computing Skills, and PE are integrated and taught within a cohesive framework of an exciting theme. The theme is creatively reflected around the classroom through books and wall displays creating an immersive environment of continuous learning.

Active Learning

Each thematic unit of inquiry widens students’ knowledge with exciting facts and information. Students explore the theme in an integrated and fun way using various forms of hands-on activities, digital resources, songs, and movements in all the subjects of English and Arabic Literacy and Numeracy.

Literacy beyond the classroom

Our literacy program is based on a balanced whole-language approach using synthetic phonics and phonemic awareness. Here we nurture early readers to love books and reading. Reading and listening are an integral part of our KG day. Students are encouraged to talk and ask questions and deep learning happens during these discussions.

Daily Schedule for KG Students

Step into an exciting day at our Kindergarten, filled with endless fun and valuable learning. Our day begins at 6:45 am with a vibrant Assembly, setting the tone for an amazing day ahead. During circle time, our dedicated homeroom teacher instills the importance of well-being and values as students engage in meaningful discussions on the theme of the week. After the second and fourth periods, students take a break to refuel with delicious breakfasts and midday snacks. We also make sure to provide ample time for students to enjoy our indoor and outdoor playgrounds. After the sixth period, dismissal at 12:00 pm marks the end of another enriching day. Rest assured, your child will have a fulfilling and enjoyable day at our Kindergarten.
