MG Classroom Monitors

AIS takes a number of measures to instill confidence intro students. Each year, elections are held to nominate classroom monitors. Being a monitor is not just a privilege, it is more of a responsibility role. All the class monitors have the duties to assist the class and subject teachers to maintain a good order in their own classroom. For that end, Mr. Bajis Abo Hassan, the Middle Grades Deputy, and Mr Hamada, Student Counsellor, meet with the elected monitors of Grade 7 and 8 to address the main roles a monitor should play including:

  • Coordinate with the homeroom teacher in introducing extra-curricular activities to classroom;
  • Liaise between teachers and classmates;
  • Assist the student advocate in resolving minor student issues; and
  • Organize and run classroom committees.
