First Benchmark Assessment for Grades 3-8

Dear Respected Parent/Guardian,

As part of our continuous improvement process, AIS Management has scheduled the First Benchmark Assessment for Grades 3–8.  

The exact dates of the assessments will be announced on the weekly plan in week 2.

We administer this assessment to determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year and from year to year in English and Math.   

The data from these assessments will assist us in personalizing learning and improving school accountability.  It will also allow us to work on specific areas that we identify as areas for improvement with our students. Students will also be provided with targets and feedback. 

Please note that these assessments are non-evaluative. We will use these results to improve our instructional strategies. 

We are excited, as the assessment will allow our educators to focus on every child’s individual growth and achievement.  By partnering to help all students learn, parents and teachers can have a profound positive effect on the lives of our students.
